Mums???

I have a fall cake I will be donating for my churches Fall Festival Cake Walk. I want to do leaves and mums, and some acorns. What tip do I need to do the mums and how do I build it???

pipe a tip 5 mound of icing in center of wax-covered flower nail. then using tip 81, make little petals all aroung mound starting with tip in the mound and pull out.then, do it again with a second row around and start tip between two petals. keep going untill you have done about 4 rows. oh, and pull up slightly at the end of each petal. I hope you can understand this. maybe someone else could explain better. I haven't done very many of them.

renee2007, do you start at the top of the icing mound or at the bottom?

Not sure if anyone else does this - but for bigger mums I like to use half of a large marshmallow and pipe on that instead of the mound!
