I was just thumbing thru a cookie book at Barnes and Noble while my son was playing with the trains, and I saw lifesavers used for a stained glass effect. Just cut out the center and put a whole lifesaver in the hole and bake. In the photos it melted perfectly into the "window". I'm gonna try it out next week if my grocery stores ever get any more molasses in so I can make gingerbread. Ahh the many joys of the holidays.
