She's still trying to decide between princesses, Carebears and Minnie Mouse. She says something different every time I ask her. Her bday is in Feb and I'm trying to get some ideas now so we can decide on a theme and start on invites after Christmas. I have looked in the gallery, but I was just wondering if anyone has any cute/unique ideas for any of the above themes. Thanks! I can't wait to do her cake!

I'm doing a princess cake for my niece at the end of the month. She looked at some of the pics on here and fell in love with the pillow cakes with the tiara on top. I can't wait to try it. I think any little princess would just love it!

This is the one I'm taking inspiration from. It's by KittisKakes:

Also, here's a template for a tiara. I plan on doing mine with white chocolate and then painting it with luster dust:

Good luck!

I just did a small Minnie Mouse cake (in my photos)- It would have been cuter if it was bigger. But the red bows with the polka-dots could start your theme/colors off!

Or how about 2-3 doll cakes? (also in my photos)I think I saw a Minnie one somewhere and the Princess are easy to find!

Good luck!

Why not try to combine all three. You could do Minnie dressed up like a princess with a few care bears around to celebrate the party.

She's going to be forced to made a decision when it comes time to choose the invitations. Why don't you wait and see what you're REALLY dealing with and then move forward with a design? There are lots of cute concepts in all of these theme areas. If nothing else, duplicating parts, if not all, of the invitation in FBCT or chocolate transfer would be an easy and effective solution.

It's definitely getting down to crunch time. Her bday is Feb 13th and I like to give people 4w notice, so I have to get the invites out soon. (and I still have to make them!)

She's recently thrown more choices into the mix...Blues Clues, Little Einsteins, bunnies (she has a stuffed bunny she likes).... I have thought of doing Princess Minnie. If you did that, would you do it as a doll cake? I think I'm going to just have to pick something for her. It's just a matter of figuring out what *I* want to do!

I did a tree stump picnic cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday featuring Hello Kitty. You could do something like that with her favorite character.

hehehe....I should add that I'm very new to all this and have never used fondant or gumpaste (not sure which those are made out of). I'm not sure I could even make a good attempt at all those little pieces. It's super adorable, though!
