I just made my first batch of buttercreaam in my brand new KitchenAid. I have died and gone to heaven. 
This is wonderful. It takes all the "work" out of making the icing. I actually unloaded the dishwasher while it whipped it up!!! I can't believe how much I've been missing out on.
Just had to share.

I felt the same way when my hubby got me KA mixer for Christmas last year. I fell in love with it and never look back at old fashioned hand-mixer again.
