I pretty much do round cakes I guess because they are easier and I dont have square pans that I like. Do you all charge more if its square cake rather than round? If so how much more?
I don't see why you would charge more. It's the same size cake, just a different shape. But I am new to this so maybe I am wrong.
K in the long run you would definitely charge more for a square cake than a round cake. For instance
using the Wilton cutting guide for cakes;
16" round = 100 servings
16" square = 128 servings
Do you see what I mean here?
Squares will give you more servings per than a round cake so hence you would charge more. Especially if you were using a per serving charge.
Yeah I charge per serving... but the price of my serving doesnt change by the shape of the cake only if its buttercream or fondant..
