Okay, so here are the names I (and friends and family) have come up with and narrowed it down to.

I do cakes, cookies and cupcakes (a few are posted here but by far not all).

Amie's Creative Cake Shop
DreamCakes by Amie
HeavenlyCakes by Amie
All Things Sweet
Amie's Sweet Creations

Now, I have researched these names in my State (IL) and to my knowledge there are none like these (or at least not too similar). I also did a tradmark search and came up clear for these but please if you know something I don't then let me know!

Also, if you can think of any names better, PLEASE add them!

Also, where is a good place to go for domain registration and do I have to pay for this? Thanks everyone!

Ooh, they are all so good. I love "Dream Cakes" and "Heavenly Cakes". I like "All Things Sweet", but it trips up coming out of my mouth. How about "Everything Sweet"? "Sweetie Cake" (instead of sweetie pie), or "A Piece of Heaven, by Amie" are some other ideas, but I love what you have. The VERY best of luck carrying out your dream. <<<Cheryl

I like DreamCakes by Amie.

Your webmaster should have all of the information for domain registration and applicable fees. If you are creating it, I'd go though a company like 1&1 Website Builder. There are minimal fees and they take care of domain registration and the like. Have you googled it?

I was once a member of an association that was creating a website and our webmaster charged us $200 for domain registration. Our family has a website through 1&1 and we didn't pay a specific domain registration fee. It may depend on if you are a business or not...

Sorry, that wasn't really much help! Good Luck!

Oh, you are an inspiration, I'm excited for you. Does "domain registration" just apply if you are establishing a website? Or do you need that if you are naming any business? <<<Cheryl

You don't have to have a domain just to have a business name but if you might someday create a website using your business name it's best to register it before it's taken. That's all I know!

I like "All Things Sweet" and "Amie's Sweet Creations".

As for domain registration, you will have to pay. One of the least expensive places is www.godaddy.com.

Congratulations!!!! Personaly I like business names that do not include your first name so "All Things Sweet" is great! I did a quick check & that domain name is taken with the .com but .net is available!

As for thre domain if you are making the wesite yourself, I love Homestead! So far I have made 12 web sites for friends & family and they are very affordable & extramly easy to use. Domain regstration can be done seperately form creating your actual site. I pay $20 per month for a professional site with no ads, no picture limits & unlimited pages for the name I wanted. Check out my site & feel free to ask questions about web design! Good Luck!

I like All Things Sweet the best, except if you don't do candy this might confuse some people. Do you do candy also?

I like "Dream Cakes" and "All Things Sweet".

I third the godaddy comment. They are great if you ever have to talk to them over the phone. They are always helpful and more then willing to answer questions. They always seem to be happy too. Must be all that sun they get out in AZ. icon_razz.gif

So me an hubby here have agreed with the concensus here on CC that the top two favorites are All Things Sweet and DreamCakes.

I just wish I could have them both! I really love All Things Sweet but am afraid that in the phone book (I would be listed under bakers in on and under bakers and Cakes in the other, that people may associate me less with cakes more with other things and I really do more cakes than the other stuff.

DreamCakes on the other hand, doesn't imply that I also do other sweets! Ughh!

DreamCakes or All Things Sweet????
