My Son Is Sooo Sweet! I Have To Tell Someone!

(First a little background info. I am no longer married to my son's father and my son has lived with me all his life. This year he wanted to live with his father. It has almost killed me to let him go. I've missed him like crazy. Ok-on with the story!) My 16 yr. old son made a special trip to where I work today to bring me my birthday/Christmas present. My birthday is Friday. He bought this with his own money from his first job. He bought me a 3 piece set from Sears (necklace, earrings, ring) in blue topaz which is my birthstone. He said it was for all that I have done for him. Isn't that just the sweetest thing? It made me cry. I just had to share my happy moment with everyone. I'm just busting at the seams with love and pride! Sorry this is so long!

He must think so! I've always tried to do the best for him, even if it was to let him go live somewhere else. I thought he didn't need his 'ole mom anymore. I guess I'm still in his heart just as he'll always be in mine-no matter where he is.

He's a great kid. He still tells me that he loves me-even if his friends are around. You don't see many 6'1" 16 yr.olds who will still do that!
