I want to make some candy covered marshmallows for Haloween - thinking of doing single ones that look like pumpkins, and then just holiday sprinkle colors on others. Also want to do 3 on a stick, to look like pumpkins also, as I did last year.

My question to you all is what would you think is a fair price for the single marshmallow and then the 3-on-a-stick one? Guess I have to find out how many marshmallows come in a bag and do some quick figuring! icon_rolleyes.gif

Instead of a stick could you put them on a pretzel rod? Mmmm maybe that would be to big. But you might get away with charging more since the whole thing is edible. Not sure what to charge, maybe $2-3?

Would love to see how they turn out? Will you pm them to me?

I like the pretzel idea because chocolate covered pretzels are awesome!! If your covering your marshmallow with candy coating and use that I think it would taste really good together and a $2 price tag wont sound like too much. If your doing the sticks then I would say $1. Your best bet is to figure out how much it costs for the ingredients and how many marshmallows you can make out of it. You dont want to jip yourself and you dont want them to be too pricey or they wont sell.

I am thinking $1.00 per each 3-marshmallow stick sounds like a decent price (still have to get a bag of marshmallows and figure out how many come in a 1-lb bag). I also like the dipped pretzel with sprinkles idea. Sounds like $2 each is the going price? Do any of you charge by the dozen and/or half dozen?

I just had to say quick my mom bought my kids each one of these from a local store. 3 marshmallows dipped in chocolate and then they had some of the hard decorated candies on them - it was Easter so they were little bunnies and easter eggs (made out of royal) and they were $3 a piece. Also another idea is a rice crispy treat rectangle size on a stick dipped in some chocolate (not all the way - just the top) and then put sprinkles on the chocolate part. They were really cute and my kids loved them! I am thinking of making some for Halloween with different decorations but I know those were like $4 but they were a decent size.

Check the cost of your chocolate or candy melts, that seems like more of an issue that the marshmallows in knowing what you've got in them. Also don't forget the cost of the stick and the wrapper.

I think $2 is fair. I've done the same with marshmallows as ghosts. Three stacked in white choc with face piped on.

I remember seeing on the website for the popcorn factory last year they had 3 stacked mashmallows on a stick covered in white choco with faces piped on to look like snowmen. They priced them at 3 for $9.99.
Now I didn't order them.... I made them and gave them to my family and friends. But at least you have their price...

We were at a local chocolate shop and they were charging $1.50 for one marshmallow on a stick dipped in chocolate and rolled in mini M&Ms.
