I Need Tips On Making A 3D Curious George

I find when i make my 3D cakes they contain alot of styrofoam, dowel and cake boards. if anyone can offer me any other methods, i would really appreciate it.

I would use either the 3D bear pan or 8" wondermold and Sports Pan for this project. Then I would carve down and use lots of buttercream and do a crumb coat. Also you have to use a very firm cake like pound cake. Also if you freeze the cake once it's cooled then carve you will have less crumbs but freezing is optional. HTH.

Hi,
I made a Curious George cake a while ago ( you can see it in my photos)
and I just baked an 8 inch cake and then cut out his face using a pattern for a curious george mask I found on a website and then just used it as a pattern for the face details as well. I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for but maybe it will help you a little!
