I want to purchase one, any tips, suggestions... do I buy online from a specialty place, or go to a local store buy one off the shelf and then buy the specialty inks and paper to convert it... for those of you who have them.. just thought I would ask for advice icon_smile.gif

I was originally looking for a canon but got an epson instead - there are many threads on here about printers. Some say the epsons are good buys because the printer head does not actually soak up the ink, so you can convert one from a regular ink to an edible ink printer.
I bought a new Epson (an older model) and love it.

You may want to check out IcingMagic.com or KopyKake.com for a listing of printers that they have ink for. I think there are some new ones that recently were introduced to the listing.

Also, if I remember correctly Moderator Stephanie (I think) had a post about ordering empty cartridges and filling them with edible ink herself for a considerable savings.

I would do a search on the forums - you could be reading for hours... icon_smile.gif

I'd look into the kopykake website definetly. They have alot of information to look over.
