sugar (pointy) ice cream cones, covered in green BC (what consistency?) and then use a grass tip to get pine needle effect? I haven't done fondant or gumpaste yet. Would I use any Royal Icing on the tree? Little pine cones? What tip? How about using marshmallow treats for base for a snowman and then use BC? What consistency? Teacher told me a marshmallow hat could be painted with black icing thinned with vodka? Ever heard of this?
If you do the cones medium B/C should work fine. If you want them to last for awhile do them in Royal. On the pine cones, you could use the tip that makes chrysanthimums(sp)? It looks like a small smiley face. Can't remember the number. To make a larger pine cone, there is another tip that is larger that is used I think for Victorian roses, it is similar to the smiley face. Sorry but it is late and all my stuff is at the shop so I can't look it up for you. And finally the black on the snowman hat can be painted with the mixture of Vodka or vanilla extract and your color. The alcohol or extract helps to dry it faster. Hope this helps some and happy decorating.

Yes to all your questions. Icing consistancy (sp) should be thin. Little pine cones how about tip 101s and make them on tooth picks. But pull them off the pick and place on the tree's. The hat painted black thinned with vodka is a great idea. That way the icing wont have too much water and melt the marshmellow. The vodka evaporates to fast to dissovle. RI would work the best but you can use BC. Have fun.
Thank you so much! Do I use black Royal thinned with vodka for snowman hat or just the straight color gel thinned with vodka or do I use a different kind of color .... ? What would you use for the brim of the hat? Perhaps a vanilla wafer or an oreo wafer without the cream and other side? I can let the tree dry and then add some blobs of royal to ends to look like snow right? I do love this site....
