I have some old standbys and then usually try one or two new ones. I make: Linzer Cookies (have a dough with cocoa and ground almonds, center of seedless rasberry jam, then put top on and egg wash and bake. Springerles, Pignoli, Italian Fig Cookies, Date Nut Pinwheels, Pecan Tassies. Gingerbread men and decorated sugar cookie cutouts. I also have made and like these yummy sugar cookies that have nutmeg and are topped with crushed candy cane...Peppermint Crisps. Maybe I'll make them too.... Thinking about the stained glass cookies...are they good tasting?

New one to try this year....Anyone heard of them....whatcha think of them? They are a cardamom pepper cookie. I thought they sounded a bit different than just all sweet cookies.

Let's see what do I usually make...Snickerdoodles, sugar cookies for the kids to decorate, chocolate chip for DH, and peanut butter blossoms. I also make a bunch of candy as well.

Oh...lmy husband and kids like those peanut butter blossoms too. You put the kisses on when they are warm out of the oven right? Do you put them back in oven for a bit then?

I make a chocolate cookie that is iced with buttercream, given some sprinkles, and topped with a Hershey's Kiss. Same as the peanut butter blossom, but a bit more festive. The only problem...the kids eat them all up in no time! I also have a pinwheel cookie, like the date ones, only instead of date you use a raspberry-coconut filling. Yummy!

I usually make cut-outs, chocolate chip oatmeal, blondies, etc., but my absolute tradition is truffles. I make chocolate mint (with crushed peppermint) and chocolate-cinnamon-cayenne for Christmas. This year I made a white chocolate Guinness (yes the beer) that came out fabulous.

The cardamom thing sounds grand!

I make one my mom always made--it's a cream cheese dough and you put them through a cookie press. I still use her old cookie press and every year, I get near tears just smelling them in the oven.......

I usually make cutouts, various kinds of bar cookes (e.g. raspberry oatmeal bars), Tollhouse cookies, and chocolate chip crescents. My fave is the crescents. They are made with a cream cheese dough that has mini chocolate chips in them, and then are dipped in chocolate.

My absolute favorite is Chewy Noel Bars. My husband loves the peanut butter blossoms and the buckeyes (candy or team). The kids will eat anything.

I make the same cookies my mom used to make. It's just not chistmas with out them...spritz, snickerdoodles, molasses, chocolate crinkles and mexican wedding cakes. I make a few others but these are family favorites.

Well, I have to say that ever since I made the Roll Out Cookie Recipe from Wilton and I haven't had the desired of trying anything else!!!!

I was just tasting one of the cookies I just made a couple of days ago and I was in sugar heaven! Those cookies are soooooo good!!!!!!

Yum! So Wilton cookie recipe for Roll out cookies to me is the best I've had! party.gif

I also tried their chocolate version, using the same recipe just adding chocolate, but found that adding semi-sweet chocolate is better than unsweetened as they suggested. With unsweetened chocolate, the cookie doesn't taste very much like a chocolate cookie. I substituted for semi-sweet chocolate and it tastes wonderful!!

Hmm, hard to decide!! lol. My absolute favorite would have to be my oatmeal raisin. My DH's would definitely be buckeyes.

I usually make a couple of new cookies each year. My standby's are: chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, german chocolate thumbprints, sugar, danish spritz cookies, raspberry swirls, cappuccino cookies, to name a few. I make a lot!! lol. My new ones this year are lip smacking lemon cookies and carrot cake cookies.

I make my peanut butter blossoms with Bisquick, peanut butter, and Eagle Brand. I put the kisses on when they come out of the oven but you don't put them back in. They melt just enough. The grandkids love putting the kisses on. Also can make thumbprints and fill with raspberry before baking instead of the candy kisses.

My favorites are the soft and fluffy ginger cookies that I posted on here... Yummy!! icon_smile.gif

And the peanut butter blossoms...I usually like to make them extra special by using dove chocolates on them instead of kisses.....everyone goes bonkers over those babies!!
