Chocolate Decorators BC from this site is really yummy and easy to make and pipes great. Here's the link:

Chocolate Buttercream Dream is supposed to be very good, too, but I haven't tried that one yet. The Chocolate Syrup frosting is delicious, but I find it kind of soft and have only used it as a casual icing- I'm not sure how well it pipes. (Both recipes are on this site.) HTH! icon_smile.gif

This is the recipe I use. 18 ounces of butter, 2 pounds of Powdered sugar, one tablespoon vanilla, one cup of cocoa, one cup of milk. I start with half of the milk and add to it to get the consistency I want. Mix on low first to incorporate and then gradually turn the speed up to whip until smooth. When I was out of milk, I have used evaporated milk or 1/2 and 1/2 and gotton good results. This will keep in a well sealed container for at least 2 weeks. You may want to rewhip slightly after it has been in the frig. If you don't get it too thin, you can border and make roses with it.

I used the Decorator's Buttercream recipe from CC and did the same as Cathy, melted my chocolate chips, then added it to the mix. Everyone loved it !

In the regular recipe I replace one of the four cups with cocoa and I use milk instead of water.
