I am making a book cake WASC with buttercream icing, for a girl's sweet 16, one side has an edible picture of Kenney Chesney with some Cd's and musical notes around him. I will be adding fondant musical notes along with his songs written on the same side, the other side I will write Happy Sweet 16 C*** and fondant cut outs of a guitar, cowboy hat. and musical notes. problem is what can I use as a base on the cake board? I was thinking a bandana, but not sure if I will have the time to make one out of fondant, any other suggestions? I was also thinking of adding a few flowers, To make it look a litle feminine any ideas on the flowers? Thanks.

You can use a vinyl table cloth, cut to fit the board. They come in many colors, patterns, etc.

I like the table cloth idea - but also check the scrapbook section at Hobby Lobby or Michaels - they have tons of single sheets - maybe a collage would be cool - covered with contact paper. However, be careful on what type of paper you choose. The really thick sheets do not work so well.
