I am wondering what to do about my new little niece that was born in July. My brother & SIL are having her christening the 21 of this month. I looked through the gallery and have a few cakes that I would like to wrap into on cake for them. They are having a party after the service at their house. I have emailed them asking if I could bring anything or bring a cake. I havent heard back from them, so I am wondering what to do. DO you all think I should just do up the cake and take it with us or do you think I should show up and enjoy the gathering? Here is my idea for the cake. A three tiered cake some fondant ribbon roses around the cake. Her name on the middle tier. And I really would like to put a pair of baby booties on the top tier. So what do you all think I should do?

I would call your brother and tell him you are bringing a beautiful cake as your gift. Don't just show up with a cake, they might not have read your email and may buy a cake somewhere else, which could be awkward if you show up with one, too.

It sounds beautiful, I know they will be blown away! icon_biggrin.gif

Yep, I'm with kelleym. They may not have checked their e-mail. Call and tell them you'd like to do the cake as a gift.
