I have an entry in this week. The pictures are so small that it is hard to see. There is a campfire in front and in the teepee. They are battery operated tea lights with tootsie roll logs.

Thank you. I was trying to be creative and stay within the required 12"X12"x12" size limit.

I think some of the entries went over that limit--From what I saw!

I think so, too. You are required to state the size of your entry. I guess they just take your word for it. I would rather go by the rules and lose than misrepresent my entry.

I agree. But the 12x12x12 space seems so stifling! Some of those are Definitely over that limit. icon_confused.gif

Thank you. I need all the help I can get.

I just love CC members. Whenever I need a lift, I come to CC and start reading in the forums. Everyone is so supportive. Some posts are so hilarious, I find myself laughing out loud and feeling much better. Thank God for cake decorators.

I'm thinking about doing one - just don't know where the time to do it will come!! I found a really cool house here in Dallas (one of the historical districts) that I'd like to reproduce.

I love the teepee!

I had entered a couple of weeks ago...it was a very pretty house that I gave as a house-warming gift. I had taken photos of it in the celophane...but the house was COMPLETELY visible.
Wilton emailed me and said they could not accept it because it wasn't 100% edible. icon_confused.gif

To which I replied:
That's about as ridiculous as needing the board it sits on to be edible.

I won't be entering any more of their contests.

OMG, I can't believe that Wilton would not take your entry because of celophane, I find it kind of dumb.... icon_confused.gificon_surprised.gificon_confused.gif
Oh well, just rest assured that you would've won anyway, judging by your work!!!!

Do you have any pictures to share?? Would LOVE to see it!
Love your work and sorry to hear about your Gingerbread House!
Happy Holidays!

I entered the contest the first week and won nothing. icon_cry.gif I felt that mine was pretty good but life goes on and it was my very first gingerbread house, so I think considering that I did really good. I plan on entering next year. But I agree with etigg82 a lot have went over the limit. Mine was exactly 12" in length and there were and are lots bigger than mine. Good luck to everyone else that enters. thumbs_up.gif

Oh wow, that is a beautiful house! I can't believe it is your first house! It is gorgeous!! And the reason you couldn't upload it on the thread is beacuse your pic is too big, you have to resize it and make it smaller.
Thanks for sharing the pic! thumbs_up.gif

I'm sorry they wouldn't accept your house, but your story made me laugh. How dumb.
