Good point with the water! Ours is icky, so we bought the bottled water dispenser. Kids love it! It's the 2.5 gal that goes in the fridge, and they like that they can pour it alone (little spout on it).
We have big water dispenser in our kitchen. We bought a little metal cup, like the kind you have camping or as my DS puts like on "Little House on the Prairie", that is his water cup. He can use it when ever he wants. He has drank so much water since we did that.

I went to my pediatrian yesterday, I found out that my DS has a sinius infection, I thought he just had a cold. She said he probably not eating because things don't taste right. I told her he wasn't eating before the cold started, she told me everything that has been said. Peanut butter, let him pick, he will eat when he is hungry. He is also underweight and always has been. She said as long as they are healthy foods and he is getting about a cup of food per meal, plus snacks he will be fine.

I told my DH that and he seemed to think that because the DR said that it was fine. That we will try it out at home. He has agreed to let up on the eating after I told him about how this could lead to eating disorders and that we are not the only ones dealing with this problem.

Glad things are looking up. Yes sinus infections will cause kids not to eat. We had to struggle for 2 years with my 4 yr old with that. He had allergy meds to take. He was on the verge of being asthmatic. We found out that if we keep a chihuahua then he doesn't have attacks but once a year! Now his eating is picking up.

There's a book out there called Just Take A Bite by Lori Ernsperger that a friend of mine suggested that helps to figure out the reasons a child won't eat and has tips on getting them to eat. Might be a good resource for someone.
