I am making a open book cake. I used the wilton open book pan. I want to cover the cake in fondant but not sure what to use to get the look of pages on the sides of the cake. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Erica

They have side scrapers that you can use:

If you click on the picture, you will see a zoomed-in view. I believe the scraper on the top is what you use for getting the effect of pages.

I would think that you could probably use a clean comb to get the same effect.

If its all fondant, I think you could use something straight like the dull side of a long knife to make the impressions. For the curved part in front, I think something rounded to make the marks, maybe like a plate, or bowl etc. That's all I can think of.

Thanks for the suggestions, I ended up using a dull knife to make the lines. I think it turned out okay.

Thanks,
Erica
