I am in the process of trying to set up an online bakery. If I do not have a store front (yet), is it strange for me to call it a bakery?
I'd be baking out of a commercial kitchen.
I just thought of a cute name for it and the word "bakery" is in the title...
I just looked up the definition of "bakery" and it's defined as an establishment where a baker works...
so, I'd fit the bill according to that definition...
What do you guys think?
i think it is fine ... but i have to admit ... there is this place that has "cottage" in the name - and guess what??? there's no cottage ![]()
now bakery is a place you bake things ... so you are a "bakery" ... well, you're not a bakery, where you bake things is
(i think i need more sleep!!)
Sounds fine to me...Call it whatever you want its yours right!
The only bakery we had in the town I live in closed last year and only does e-mail orders.
If she can do it I am sure you can. She isn't that good as far as I am concerened
Yikes! That scares me....
Well, I think I'm going to try this...at least reserve the domain name for the future...
Thanks for the input!
I love this forum.
I don't have bakery in my business name (long story why not) but I have signs in the window that say Bakery. I had a lady come in one time and want to buy bread, which I do not do. She then proceded to argue with me that I should not have signs that say Bakery if I do not produce breads. I have a fully licensed storefront in which I produce close to 100 wedding cakes a year, thousands of cookies and a lot of occasion cakes, not to mention a fresh case that is filled with brownies, cookies, cake, etc. every day. I just wanted to shake her and ask "If this isn't a bakery, what the h*ll is it?"
People will think what they want, but if you want to call it Pear's Automotive, you can. Hey, that's not a bad idea, it would certainly get more men in the front door...hmm....
You bake, therefore, you are a bakery!
