I have a cake due in 2 days, for 35 people for a retiring pharmacist. He's been working at the hospital for 37 years. Any and all ideas, along with any creative sayings would be appreciated!

peg818 was thinking like I was...maybe a prescription pad with 'directions for retirement' or something along those lines.....

This is a down and dirty cake since most of my cakes have been in some sort of planning process that can go for months.

Anyway:

I would make a 1/4 sheet cake and create it like a written prescription with the persons name and then write something cute on retirement on the directions part.

Hey, Thanks everybody!

I've decided to incorporate some of your ideas;

Since we work in a hospital, our prescription blanks are really order sheets, yellow "carbon" copies. So I thought I'd do something like that, complete with admission date of his first day of work.

Then do physician order of "disch home when ok with HR"
"f/u periodically: keep in touch"
"PT/OT to eval/train for relaxation techniques"
"pharmacy to manage sendoff "
"140 gm chocolate cake, 4oz punch po x 1 prior to DC"

Then sign the "order" with some illegible scrawl.

Thought I'd even put a "STAT" sticker on it!

I'm so glad I asked you guys.....I was about to do something boring like Good Luck Marty, and the hospital logo and his service dates. This is going to be fun! Thanks again!
