I know that we all watch the Food Network, Ace of Cakes, etc. and that most of us read American Cake Decorating and Martha Stewart Weddings.

But I just learned of two more television programs that feature cakes; Wedding Cake Masters (a program on WE TV) and Whose Wedding Is It Anyway (on Style TV). I was so excited to see Margaret Braun and Bronwen Webber making cakes, but then I began to wonder what else am I missing?!

Could we start a list of TV shows and cake decorating magazines to enlighten everyone?

Here's a start:

TV

Ace of Cakes (Food Network)
Wedding Cake Masters (WE - women's entertainment TV)
Who Wedding Is It Anyway (Style TV)

Magazines

Martha Stewart Weddings
American Cake Decorating

I can't think of any others with the exception of the "Bake Cake Decorate" (or something like that) on Public Television. It's the one that Wilton does. I've never watched it, but it is another show.

I have no idea. We don't get that show in AZ. I think Wilton does another show but I cannot remember the name. Sorry.

Magazines
Mailbox News (put out by same publisher of ACD)
Wedding Cakes (Printed in Britian)
Contemporary Cakes (Printed in Britian by same company as Wedding Cakes)

There are a couple of other ones but can't think of them atm.

Ooooh, I've never heard of "Wedding Cakes" or "Contemporary Cakes !" Do they accept US subscriptions?

They sure do! I have not subscribed yet as I have found a local Border's book store that carries the wedding cakes, but I want to subscribe so I don't have to worry about missing them.

They also have one that I think is Cake and Craft Magazine.

There is the Cake Craft and Decoration magazine out of England and the Modern Wedding Cakes out of Australia.

I personally love the Cake Craft and Decoration magazine. There are great step by step instructions for the pieces featured. I get mine at Sheila's shop the Cake Craft Shoppe in Sugar Land, TX.

Crazy4sugar thanks for the heads up on the other programs. I have all the Challenges saved on DVD and all the Ace shows saved too. Now I have even more to add to the DVR, woohoo!!

I saw Bake Decorate Celebrate for the first time the other day and nearly fell off the bed. Are you kidding me? DH was equally amused and appalled. Mixing Jello and Cream cheese and pouring into a flower mold now constitutes as a beautiful elegant dessert. Sorry to all those faithful watchers out there - I do apologize but how are these women on TV?

Nice info! Brilliant idea Jennifer...I sometimes remember an idea but then can't remember where I saw it!! Taping the shows would solve that problem

Edited to add:

Cake Craft and Decoration magazine says that it doesn't deliver to the US icon_cry.gif

I get this message: sorry, but home delivery is not available for delivery to United States of America.

You can order the magazines from cakecraftshoppe.com. Sheila carries the magazine and has lots of back issues! They are listed online and she may have some that are not online, just give the shop a call. Everyone there is super nice. I hope you decide to give the magazine a try, I love everyone of them!

Thank you, Jennifer, I'll do that!

I forgot to mention the TV show "Sugar Rush " on the Food Network. Ron Ben-Isreal was on this morning demonstrating how he makes his sugar flowers and showing off an $8000 cake.
