I made this cake a few weeks ago and I am just curious what everyone else would have charged...its a 9" Double layer Strawberry cake filled with Strawberry filling mixed with Richs Bettercream Vanilla filling and Buttercream icing with Fondant decorations. It was for my bosses daughter's 19th birthday. The day I brought it in for her she asked what she owed me and I told her one price and she wrote the check for $10 more and said I wasn't charging her enough...HOW EMBARRASSING! I've tried various cake pricing matrixes and just can't figure them out. I just want to make sure I don't under price any more!

thanks for you help

I would charge at least $50! It is a beautiful cake!!! Remember that prices also depend on your area. What I do (this might help some) I multiply my cost by 4, and by "cost" I mean down to a small % of your electric bill, paper towels, and all those little things we sometimes don't even think about... HTH.
