Here is a bump, I just got a air brush and I would like to know some tips as well. Do I need to take apart and clean the air gun totally after each use?
Thanks

I purchased a Kopycake compressor and brush called KROMA-JET it has 8-10 PSI so it won't blow a hole in your icing. I bought the huge bottle of cleaning fluid and just fill the brush cap and blow it through for cleaning and then follow with water.

I love it.

Becareful when you buy, sometimes they only list the compressor price and other times they only list the brush price.

I recommend getting the big set of colors. I also use a lot of the white to give my colors another tone......

For the brush the best deal is at dixieart.com for the Paasche VSR90. $64.95 shipped. It is a great brush and comes with extras. The best deal on a compressor is at bearair.com. You can get the KopyKake Airmaster plus for $159. This is a $300 compressor at most places. It is a step up from the Airmaster. The best place to learn about airbrushing is at howtoairbrush.com. This site will teach you everything you need to know to get started. If you search cakecentral this topic has been discussed several times. I have several post on here explaining the differences in airbrushes, and compressors. Hope this helps.
