Is the entire cookie decorated with RI or just the details?

I can get them packaged within a few hours when a fan is on when I just do details with RI and a base of fondant.

I think you are looking toward at least 24 hours if the entire cookie is RI, but someone else who does that technique all the time might be able to give you a better timeframe for that.

Yes, you definitely need to allow time for them to dry properly. I have packaged earlier and regretted it. You have to check that not only has the RI crusted, but dried right down to the cookie, and that can take a while if it's thick icing.

I agree with the 8hr timeline.....Use a fan and dehumidifier if you can to help speed up the process.
Get those cookies done so you can enjoy the playoffs-Let's go Yankees!!!

The shortest time I have ever packaged was about 6 hours (late night and early morning) I think 8 is better though.
