Are there any suggestions on how to get a true red color with MMF and or cream cheese frosting?

Neither one is pure white so the red always looks "creamy". (Sorry that is the only word I can think of right now.)

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I've never tried it on cream cheese icing but did on MMF and I was able to achieve this by adding TONS of americolor red red, I got a really pretty TRUE red. I know it is not much help but just wanted to share, good luck and hope somebody else can help. (OR you can always buy satin ice red fondant icon_lol.gif )

Someone suggested doing it in phases: first add yellow, then orange, then red. I haven't tried it, though.

If you are making the MMF add your red coloring to the melted marshmallows. Takes a lot less work, and it gets red pretty quick. Then you add in your PS until the right consistency.

sorry can't help with the cream cheese
