What do you all think?? they sounded so simple to make... pain in the butt really! this is for a friend who placed my first order for an Xmas cake... hopefully she'll like it.

It looks fantastic!!!! The more ya do the swags, the more ya figure out how to do them differently...mine dont look like the ones I used to do...same with ribbon roses! I LOVE your cake!!!!

Looks great! I'm still too scared to try drapes and swags, but I never would have guessed that to have been your first attempt! Way to go!

Hi Fi,
It's a charming cake. The only suggestion I would have on the swags is to fold under a little hem on the bottom of the paste before gathering into the pleats. It gives it a more finished look when it is applied to the cake.
