Ok,I have been trying to post it on here, but the pics don't come up in the order I have them originaly.I sent a tutorial to the cake central And I hope they can post it on here. The only way I can do it on the forum is this way.I hope you can figure it out.

BY: Lejla Allison

You will need the following things;

- Fondant(MMF)
- 4.5 cookie cuter
- Plastic ornament mold, and
- Cupcakes(of course)

(PIC # 1 comes here)

Roll the fondant out to about 1/8 of thickness .Use a 4.5 cookie cuter and cut out the shape. Place the shape carefully inside of the mold pressing gently around the mold so no creases are visible.

(PIC # 2 COMES HERE)

Place it in the refrigerator.
In the mean time make and bake chocolate cupcakes, cool completely.
Fill the ornament molds (with the fondant still inside) with cake ball ingredients.
Once the two halfs are filled, place each on the cupcake. Place it back in the refrigerator.

For the hanger part, you will need;

- 1.5 cookie cuter
- a straw
- small ball made out of Kleenex, and
- rope (sausage) made out of MMF (the thinner you can make it the better)
- small bottle (like this one)

(PIC # 3 Comes here)

Use a 1.5 cookie cuter to cut out the shape. Using a straw, poke a small hole in the center of a cutout.

(PIC # 4 COMES HERE)

Take the rope (sausage) and make a loop out of it.

(PIC # 5 COMES HERE)

Feed the loop trough the hole in the center.

(PIC # 6 COMES HERE)

Place the whole thing on the small bottle and shape the hanger to achieve the look similar to this.

(PIC # 7 COMES HERE)

Place the whole thing back in the refrigerator to harden little bit. Let it dry out before pulling the paper out. After hardens pull the paper out and attach it to the cupcake with the dab of icing. Decorate with luster dust and royal icing (I used shimmer dust since I could not wait for my order of luster dust to come in).

PIC # 8 COMES HERE)

Good luck with these

P.S If there is something I missed, please let me know. Id be happy to help out the best I can.

Thanks a million.

My freezer is full of cake scraps, just waiting for something to come up. So I guess I know what I will be using them for. icon_wink.gif

Oh and if anyone needs to know, they also have the plastic ornament container at Walmart, we bought a bunch last year for the kids to decorate their own tree in their room. I think they are like 1.00 maybe, not sure.

Good luck everyone, and thanks again, it was great and very helpful. thumbs_up.gif

I was just looking for avatar pics. and that is what I settled for. We have a Pomeranian, weiner dog, and a Yellow Lab. Plus 2 cats, and we adopted a new kitten today, plus 3 kids, so my house and yard are very full. But the more the merrier. icon_lol.gif

Does anyone know where to get the boxes other people have had their ornaments in ?

Or do you know another way to place them, I am wanting them for teacher gifts too, but can't think of how to package them.

Any ideas ?

I'm summing you can also use chocolate for the round ornament part instead of fondant also?
