I am doing our Christmas Eve mass reception for about 300 people. I am doing one big cake and then several sheet cakes.

For my main cake--should it be fancy (white, tiered, fondant covered) or something fun (Christmas gift cakes, ornaments, etc.)

I need opinions!

IMHO, the main cake should be fancy, and the smaller sheetcakes should be fun icon_biggrin.gif

I would go with fancy too. And a little something on each piece of the sheet cakes.

I agree with the others. This is a great opportunity to show off your work with fancy and fun! Good luck!

How about something elegant and WOW for big cake and crafty fun for smaller ones. Brush embriodery and lace on white sparkling fondant for big one..... icon_biggrin.gif
