Hhhmm, I'm not an expert or anything, but I do alot of cupcakes. Never used that tip before but it looks like just the plain large open one (no design or anything) Sorry, don't know the number off the top of my head. Hope someone else uses that specific look and can help!

The orange cupcakes are maybe made with a tip 12? The other swirls with a 2D? Not sure, but I've used the 2D for my cupcake swirls of icing.

I'm not a expert by far. When I do my cupcakes I use 1M for the swirl ones and it kinda looks like they used #12 for the yellow ones.maybe use a thin icing.I hope that I helped you alittle bit.

Good Luck!!!

I'll try to explain how I do the orange ones icon_redface.gif . I use a very large, plain round tip - mine is a very old Ateco, but I'm sure that Wilton or Ateco still makes them. The opening of this tip is almost 1/2 inch across. I use a slightly thinned icing - like you would use to frost the sides of a cake. Hold the tip straight up in the center of the cupcake and almost touching the surface of the cupcake. Squeeze very hard and fast, keeping the tip almost touching the cake. The frosting has nowhere to go but out. Make the first "puddle" as big around as you need, stop squeezing and pick up the tip. Do it again, making the second "puddle" smaller than the first. Then do a third and fourth if you want. If you don't thin the frosting a bit, you will end up with a massive amount of frosting on the cupcake, but too soft and it will not hold the shape. Practice on a piece of wax or parchment paper - you can scrape the frosting off and reuse. Clear as mud icon_lol.gif ?

If you don't have a large enought round tip. Maybe you could try with the coupler only......That's a large opening.

I have a bunch of couplers made by a different company (not Wilton) which have just a round opening, no slot like on the Wilton couplers. I wonder how it would look if you used just the coupler? It is certainly larger than the #12. If you only have Wilton couplers, you could stick a piece of tape across the slot. You could also use a ziplock bag and snip a corner, as large as you want, to make those "puddles"...it's worth a try anyway.
