Hello everyone! I'm positing pics of my final cake for course 2 decorating class. I was totally proud of how it turned out. It's crazy how making an awesome cake (compared to what I used to do) can keep me smiling for days! LOL. I decided to do fairies and butterflies and such on my cake, but a few of them broke. I had all my color flow items wrapped lovingly in papertowels and layered on paper towels inside a completely flat tupperware inside my duffel bag. I set my duffel on the recliner by the rest of my stuff for class so I wouldn't forget it and my fiance thought it had clothes in it and threw it on the floor, literally picked it up and tossed it by the wall so he could sit down. Needless to say I started crying, I just knew he ruined my color flow pieces. So I took them out and they were all broken in 3 to 4 pieces. I took them in to class anyway and my instructor got out the hot glue gun and put hot glue on the back of the color flow pieces where they had broken. It was a quick fix and worked wonderfully for the fairy on the top of the cake, not so well on the fairy on the side, but it accomplished it's task. My fiance now knows not to toss anything without asking what's in it and I now know to leave the color flow pieces attached to the backing until transported.
So, here's my pics, let me know what you think any ideas would be great!!
It looks great, and I love the colors you used. Vibrant and lively.

I really like your fairies. Something very different than the birds. Great save. Your cake looks great ![]()
