LOL It's just a story I wanted to share from this weekend. I made a Happy Feet cake for a family friend's Daughter (1st B-day). One of the guests asked me if the penguins were edible. When I say yes, all the kids are trying to get one. The birthday girl's sister (3 ys.old) got the first one. When her dad asked her what it tasted like, she said without skipping a beat, "It tastes like Penguin!"
One of the older kids reported that it tasted like chocolate and I said that's just what it was--chocolate MMF
Kids are too funny ![]()
I posted a pic of the cake if you'd like to see my "penguin flavored cake" ![]()

Nice job, cute penquins, LOL. Kids are so funny.
My daugther wanted a happy feet cake for her birthday coming up in March (yes they start planning almost the day after their birthday for next year, LOL). I think I finally got her talked into something else. I am sure it will change 10 more times between then and now. Your happy feet cake was great, I didn't have a clue what to do for one, LOL.
Thanks! I had made one for my niece before, but it was a sheet cake w/ a big Mumble the penguin on it and an ice border made from rock candy. But, unfortunately, I didn't get a pic of that one. For this cake, the mom told me she did not want just one big penguine, 3-d or drawn...other than that, I had complete say of the design
She bought the picks but I just could not use the little stuffed finger puppet it came with. I think my mumble should have been fatter, though. Oh well c'este la vie ![]()
