Has any one ever had this done? I am scared to death and i wondered about pain , recovery time etc. I have researched but i find that it helps to talk to people who have actually experienced this.Help!!

I had lathersopic surgery 3 years ago with my Gall bladder. The pain was more minimal than a large incision and the recovery time about a week. That is when the tenderness and bruising went away.I have 4 little incision marks but 3 are like little pokes.I definetly am glad I had it this way than the conventional large incision. You will be fine.It is all over in about an hour.

really i was thinking that it would take several hours. Hopefully this will solve my problems. It will at least put my mind at ease about all these symptoms that I am experiencing

It took more time to wheel me to recovery area...take all my vital signs, answer more questions for the anestisilogist, wheel me to surgery suite, put mask over face....that all took more time than the actual surgery.Your mid section will feel like you have done a million sit ups but that goes away after a few days.It was really an easy surgery..Relax!!

I had 2 c-sections...so to me, this was a piece of cake!

I was a little sore that day...not bad at all. Most of my discomfort came from the air that gets trapped in your collarbone area. They tell you that you will have that for a day and I found it went away if I layed flat for awhile.

Really wasn't a bad experience. Good luck! thumbs_up.gif

Had it in 1997 - very quick and easy recovery. I had two small band aids to cover the incisions and was back to work in a metal shop as an assembler (lots of heavy lifting) in one week with no problems or restrictions.

Good luck and try to not worry too much.
