I am doing christmas lights. I want the bulb part to be one color and the stem part another. Do I do the bulb first and then after that sets add the cm for stem? Which they adhere if done separately like that?

Also I am considering using the sticks and making them pops like the mold is actually made for.

Okay so it was 2 ?s.

Ant takers? I know these questions must seem kinda mundane to some of you--these are sooo basic compared to the beautiful work you guys do.

Hello, wellcome to the chocolate paiting addiction. I would paint the screw part first let it harden and them fill the mold with the color you want. If you only want to pain with colors and fill with milk choc then paint first and then fill. good luck

I have not started too much candy molding yet but when you say paint psurrette what do you paint the molds with? Colored candy melts or icing paste coloring?

Paint the mold with melted candy melts in the color you want. Then you add in the other color.

I have made the christmas bulb chocolates before. I painted the screw part first , let it set and the add the color of the bulb that I wanted and let it set. A need touch is to use gold or silver candy wrappers to cover the screw part of the bulb.
