Quick!!help!! Wilton Shimmer Dust On Buttercream??

ok, im wondering ...can i put wilton shimmer dust on a cake covered in bc? im finishing up my very first wedding cake abd i wanted yo put the pearl dust on it but on the package all it says is about putting it on fondant...and i know most people dont eat the fondant...so can i do it?

will it make it taste bad? if i can put it up there?

It won't taste bad, but have you used it before? It's nothing like luster dusts. It's more of a glitter, not a metallic shine.

thank you...no i have never used it before ..i was hoping that it would be like luster dust...i have never used either but i had seen many post on here about luster dust...darn it i was hoping it would be the same

I've used it on buttercream it turned out very pretty, more of a glittery affect but pretty.
