Help With Bcd Too Thin....how To Thicken

Okay...I tried something new with the BCD and it ended up being way too thin...how can I thicken it to make roses???? Help!!!

Try mixing in a little more icing sugar with your beater and see if that helps.

If your using the new crisco it tends to be that way if you add too much liquid cut back and add it slowly.
They also suggest adding a bit of cornstarch; but if yours is as watery as you say I would start with more icing sugar and then see how that goes.

You could always start a new batch if your leary of using it.

Thank you! I actually bought the walmart shortening it's so SOFT! The batch tastes wonderful so I will try both maybe...I don't want it to get tooooooo sweet.
