Hi Everyone,

I have a cake due at noon and my fondant party hat isn't dry enough. I don't have a food dehyrator, any other ideas about how I can dry it fast? Would it help if I put it in the fridge? Can I put it in the oven?

Thanks for any advice I am getting worried!

If it's mmf, it does not dry hard. Ever.

In the oven with ONLY the light has been said to work.

Did you add gum tex?

The only other thing I can think of and I haven't tried this myself. How about a hair dryer set on hot, just move back and forth over the surface? Not sure if the heat would harden it or worse yet, soften it.

MMF doesn't dry, or at least not for a very long time. Did you add gumtex or gumpaste? If you did, you can try a hairdry on low. Remember heat will melt the marshmellows. Or you can try the oven with a pilot light and turn on the light, just a tiny bit of heat. Do you have gumpaste? Maybe you could make a new hat out of 100% gumpaste, and use the oven or hairdry. Best of luck!
