Where can I purchase a reasonably priced cellophane bag sealer?

Walmart in the curling iron aisle... hehe

Seriously... depending on your volume you can seal cellophane bags (must be cellophane) with a narrow barrel (anyone really that is just my preference) curling iron. I put mine on medium temp and do a test bag, adjust if needed, and then go for it. I have sealed quite a few cookies since learning about this.

It's important that you do this only on cellophane bags - usually they are gusseted and have a seam going up the back. Plastic bags and the iron won't work out too well at all....

I imagine you could use a crimper if you wanted that wavy appearance.

Hope this helps - icon_smile.gif

ooooohh! glad i came across this thread! the last cello bags i bought are the wrong size. they are wide enough for my larger cookies, but not long enough to tie a ribbon to 'seal' them...lol! (and i bought quite a few.... no more late night shopping for me. i was obviously too tired to read the description entirely!)

great idea!
