I keep seeing the wonderful cakes in the Gallery, that have such crisp top edges that don't need a border to cover them up. Please let me know how you achieve such a perfect edge!

I like to use the upside down method found in the articles section I believe. It really isn't that hard to do.

I just go over several times with Viva papertowel and fondant smoother. Sides first, then top, sides and top, etc until it is like I like it.
If I want a more rounded edge that also looks nice without a border, I just use a curved finger over the papertowel.

I use the viva paper towels to smooth, along with
the fondant smoother (looks like a plastic iron). The Melvira paint roller works well too. Janice
