How do I get melted plastic off of the bottom of my oven? icon_cry.gif okay so I messed up and turned on the bottom oven instead of the top oven. ( I have been using the bottom oven for storage.) All of a sudden I smell something awful, all of my measuring cups and spoons melted onto the bottom of the oven icon_cry.gif

They might just lift off once the oven is completely cooled. Then just wipe it down to remove any residue.

If they don't easily lift off. Maybe cover with ice cubes and see if that helps.

I learned once that in order to get plastic bread bags that fry onto toasters off, to use a baking soda/water paste and rub. It always worked for me, so maybe you could try that... hope it helps.
