Hello, I am new here. I stumbled onto your site because my 8 yr old son wants a motorcycle cake. I do not want to make one in the shape of a motorcycle, but would like to make a dirt bike raceway. I envision hills and the motorcycles in the mud. I am being very ambitios as I am a BEGINNER and do not have any professional skills, materials or tools. Please help me!

1st: WELCOME!!!!!!

second: take a look at some of the cakes found w/ this search
http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=thumbnails&meta=search&type=full&search=dirt+bike

lots of neat ideas there.

I think this one would be very easy: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo-30633.html

just start w/ a sheet cake. cut up a couple of round cake to stack up for hills and then slather on lots and lots of brown butter cream. Add plastic bikes. VIOLA!

and I bet if you PM(private message) shellkay, she'll be glad to help even more.

That second one is perfect! I think that will not be too hard at all.

What icing recipie would your reccomend. I usually use a buttercream type, but sometimes I end up with it too thin.

Thanks for the fast reply!

make any old BC recipe...
just add less water/liquid to start....then if too stiff...add water a TBS at time until "just right"
