Iso: Dove Picture For Catholic Confirmation
Decorating By Candee Updated 29 Sep 2007 , 5:07pm by Doug
I'm not Catholic so wondered if anyone familiar with the Catholic faith could tell me if there is a specific version of a dove representative for Confirmation. I've searched on clip art for pictures of doves but find several I think that would work, but I wanted to see if anyone knew if there was a special one--like I said, representative for Catholics. I am familiar of a picture of a dove with a circle around it-dove looking like it's doing a nose dive, but she thought that was for baptism?? I've tried to get in touch with the customer but she is not home today...and when she ordered, she just said she'd like the confirmation dove on it somewhere. Dumb me didn't think to ask if there was a specific one. (this is for an edible image plaque-that I plan to do a bible verse on and will probably have the dove on the plaque above or below the verse-most likely above as the name of the child and date will be underneath. THANK YOU in advance!
I'm Catholic. There isn't a 'right' confirmation dove, but the confirmation dove mostly commonly used is one that is flying up. I'll see if I can find a good pic of a dove.
edited: You know I just did a quick search and the dove is actually going down. Which makes sense because Confirmation is when the Holy Spirit comes down upon a person.
The color red is also always used w/Confirmation.
OK, thanks, but "red" leads me to another question....she wanted lavendar and yellow for flowers on the cake so I thought I'd use purple ink for the edible image plaque....now what??? Maybe I can just find a black outline picture....what to do?? what to do??
