Ok. QVC has the Professional 5qt as the hotpick today for $272...with 4 installment payments.

In looking at the comments...several said the Artisan was better because of the tilt, but they also said they easily broke. The artisan is $280 something, but NO installment payments.

Please give me some feedback on which model you like best. I want to buy one.

I have the 5 quart bowl lift model. My mom has the one with the tilt, and I like mine so much better! I can leave it in place on my counter when I'm working because I don't need to pull it out from under the top cabinets to raise the head. It also seems alot sturdier to me. I know some people have said that they don't like having to remove the beater in order to remove the bowl, but this has never seemed like any sort of issue to me.
Hope this helps!

I have the professional 6 quart and agree with pp. I don't have to move it and the beater issue is no big deal. I had the artisan before and definitely prefer the professional.

I have one Classic with the tilt head, one Pro, and two commercial KAs. I like the tilt bowl for the convenience, but as I progressed in learning new techniques, I found that I need the more powerful motors that the commercial and pro models offer.

The drop bowl is only a slight inconvenience, compared to the time it takes my icings to beat up.

The KitchenAid outlet store is having a weekly special on the 6 qt deluxe edition. I think it ends today though. I bought it a few days ago and can't wait for it to get here. Here's the link http://www.shopkitchenaid.com/product_detail.asp?HDR=search&T1=KTO+KB26G1XGN.
It's only $249!

I have both the pro 600 and the tilt head 5 quart. I have had problems getting the beaters out of the 600 without getting my hands in what I am beating. The 5 qt also uses all the 4.5 qt bowls. I have 5 of those now.

Yep, same here! I have a Pro 5 and looking to buy a Pro 6! I agree, the lift bowl is waaaaay better than the Artisan (I grew up using my Mom's Artisan)
