Toot! Toot! That's me blowing my own horn for a moment!
I am still very much a beginner and still need a lot of practice. I got a little too ambitious but really really wanted to make this cake I'm going to show you. I made this for a change of command ceremony. My husband's company CO is leaving and I wanted to make her a cake that looked exactly like their company guidon. I made many mistakes and figured out ways to correct them and I learned many lessons from this cake. But, in the end it turned out great. (Thanks everyone that has answered my kooky questions over the last couple of days!) The CO LOVED this cake. I think she started to cry when she saw it. I was so happy she liked it because of all the trouble I had with it. Everyone was very impressed how it looked just like the company guidon.
The first picture I'm posting is the guidon and the second is the cake. Thanks for looking! ![]()
