Attempting 1St Fondant Cake...help!

Hi everyone! I am going to attempt my first fondant covered cake for a friend's birthday tomorrow and I'm not sure what flavor of cake/BC/MMF I should use...I might even attempt my 1st stacked cake (9" & 6"). I want a cake that is tasty and will hold up under the fondant...what combo do you think tastes best? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
