I am wanting to do a stacked cake with ribbon around the bottom. I have never done one before, how to you attach it to the cake? I was thinking with the frosting, but thought I better ask first. Also, which type of ribbon is the best to use? Thanks. icon_biggrin.gif

you can use a dress-pin with a large colorful head, and be sure to tell the host to remove it before serving, or frosting might work. i'm not really sure how many other methods there are. maybe piping gel as glue? it's fairly sticky.

Cover the back of the ribbon with wax paper to the grease doesn't stain through.

I would attach with a pretty pin.

I have always loved the look of cakes with ribbons.
