Had a request for this. Has anyone ever heard of adding cinnamon to chocolate buttercream?

I haven't tried it, but was actually going to this weekend. I think it would taste GREAT! icon_smile.gif

it's very yummy. It's similar to the flavor of Mexican hot chocolate, it has cinnamon and ground almonds in it. I have made the choc bc with cinnamon and almonds for the filling, it was a big hit.

Sure! Have been adding cinnamon to chocolate b/c for years icon_smile.gif

Usually, just give the frosting a couple of good shakes of the cinnamon container.

Also like the combo of chocolate mint with chocolate cake....

I added cinnamon to some chocolate frosting and it had a yummy mocha flavor...add a little at a time till you get the flavor you want.

Absolutely! Cinnamon-chocolate is one of my top selling cake combinations.

I've put some in a choc. cake - too much and all you could taste was the cinnamon and I thought I was using a light touch with it!

Is anyone willing to post the ratio of cinnamon to Choc BC they use? I've read that chocolate intensifies the flavors of cinnamon.

I always add cinnamon to choc cake. about 1/2 tsp for a batch of "hershey recipe cake"

Haven't tried with choc bc yet, but it should work, choc and cinnamon is a natural combination.

start by adding a dash and take it from there...
