Will this combination work and look aesthetically pleasing for a 3-tiered cake? It gives the number of servings I need using the pans that I have but I'm wondering if the proportions will be okay with only 2" difference between bottom 2 layers. Anyone have a pic of a 3-tiered these sizes? Thanks.
Are you putting the 8" on pillars? If you do then it would look fine IMO. In fact pretty sure it would look fine all stacked together. I would use the extra space between the 8" & 12" for flowers, etc. fill up the space/

I realized after my post that I had done a cake that had a 8" directly on top of a 12". It is the Esparza wedding in my photos. It will give you an idea what it looks like.
