Hi all, i'm sorry but i did not have time to go through the forums for this topic.

I'm making a skateboard cake.....just took the cake out of the oven (white cake with chocolate chips) and when i flipped it over, the cake cracked in SEVERAL areas icon_cry.gif if i freeze it can i still shape it and use it?? or should i start over??? Also, is it easier to sculpt cake that is frozen Vs. Cake that is just cooled?? icon_cry.gif

Since I'm not sure how bad the cracks are, I'm not sure if it could be salvaged or not. But a frozen cake is DEFINITELY easier to carve than one that is freshly baked and cooled.

Back to salvaging it...could you maybe do some repair work with some icing first, then freeze it and carve it later? Maybe some other people have some better suggestions.

I had a layer of a wedding cake completely fall in half on me once! I "glued" it back together with BC, and kept on going! lol

You should be able to "glue" and/or spackle it with BC. Go ahead and freeze it up after the gluing.

You should be good to go with the carving after the freezing. GOOD LUCK!
