Quick Question: I want to cover a child's birthday cake, 3 tierd, in Fondant. I want to do multi-colored stars around the border, but am not sure if I can do that with Buttercream or Royal Icing. Also, if it will work, and stick and stay in place, any tips on attachment? I had asked my Wilton Instructor, but she was unsure!?! icon_confused.gif

Thanks for all the help! icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, buttercream and royal both stick to fondant quit well. If you stick fondant to fondant then you use a little dab of gumpaste glue.

Editing to say it is quite shocking your instructor does not know about this icon_confused.gificon_surprised.gif

Do you mead "stars" as in cut outs or drop stars with a bag and tip?
