Yes, I have learned that the cooling off is very important. I take the top or bottom off and let the cake cool in the other half for 15 minutes or so, then swap the pan halves to let it cool from that side, and I do this until the cake is totally cool...then I remove the cake and immediately dowel through the head just to stablilize it so you can handle it a little better.
When I've used the 3D Bear Pan, I used a pound cake mix and regular cake mix together and it came out perfect. I did use the heating core but when I took the heating core out, I immediately put the cake back in where the heating core was and then let it cool completely.
Okay I let the cake cool down for 20 minutes, removed one side of the bear pan to cool it and the head is broke off again. So, I cooled that exposed side for 20 minutes, replaced pan, turned over and cooling over night. So I am hoping I can glue it back together with BC and put a dowel through it.....will find out later hope it works....cake is due tomorrow...![]()
